Her Story

About Amrutha

I currently work with Dell Technologies as a Global Partner Marketing Lead, where I spearhead marketing initiatives for our tech alliance partners. I'm basically driving strategy to expand Dell's presence in the market within our partners by orchestrating different marketing campaigns and coming up with innovative marketing programs that resonate across diverse markets. I'm amplifying Dell's reach by leveraging both traditional and digital platforms to engage the partner network, which is how I'm directly contributing to business growth. My role is really about activation in the field, making sure we're constantly top of mind for our partners and our customers. Wherever you see industry events and things like that, we're making sure our presence is there. I also help drive joint marketing with our partners, which is not easy. I contribute to the marketing efforts of our Extended Technologies Complete program, which is our third-party reseller program, taking it to the channel partners within Dell. I would say my role right now is kind of at the intersection of the partner ecosystem and the Extended Technologies Complete program, and I essentially handle marketing for both. I've been doing this for the last four and a half years at Dell, and I've always been in the marketing field. Prior to joining Dell, I did my MBA in Marketing at Babson College in Massachusetts, and I was also carrying my first child while doing my MBA during the pandemic, so I'm pretty proud of that.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Amrutha

01What do you attribute your success to?

I'm proud that I've been able to stay resilient even with the changes that have been happening in the tech industry and kind of keep pushing myself to doing more. That's something I'm really proud of. I think it's about maintaining that resilience and constantly pushing yourself forward, even when the industry is changing around you.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I would say is from one of my managers in the past. He has always told me to pick one thing and kind of do that really well, and not kind of spread yourself too thin. I've really adopted that advice in my career.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Just keep learning, be open to learning, because it is going to keep changing with AI and everything. Keep an open mind, and keep pushing yourself. The industry is constantly evolving, so that openness to continuous learning and that drive to push yourself forward are really essential.
