About Amy
Amy Beal is a consultant and founder of an LLC based in Rockville, Maryland. With around 20 years of experience across criminal justice, human services, and education systems, she holds an undergraduate degree in criminal justice, a Master's in Human Services, and a Master's in education. Beal began her career in the criminal justice system in the early 2000s, later pursuing advanced degrees to support challenging systems through programs, grant writing, and funding. She led early childhood efforts for the state of Maryland and community schools for Montgomery County Public Schools, where she helped build supports including food pantries and food markets, earning an award for community schools in 2023 or 2024. Approximately two years ago, Beal founded her LLC to work independently as a consultant, connecting nonprofits, local management boards, and school districts to strengthen communities through collaborative funding and resource strategies. Her approach emphasizes taking the first step even when uncertain, encapsulated in her motto to do it scared.
