About Amy
Amy Danzo began her career in higher education in 2004 as a work-study student at the university where she earned her bachelor's and master's degrees. Inspired by the working women she encountered, she progressed from entry-level positions to creating a testing center and leading adult learner programs and services, eventually overseeing transfer student recruitment and advising. After earning her doctorate in educational leadership with a focus on social justice and equity in 2025, she now works at the state level for Kentucky's higher education authority, championing credit for prior learning initiatives to improve access for adult and transfer students. She has advocated for policies such as paid parental leave at her former university and is a member of the Council on Adult Education and Learning, having previously served on the governing board of the National College Testing Association.
