Her Interview

Ten minutes with Amy

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to taking risks and having the confidence to pursue opportunities even when scared, supported by my network, which allows me to learn something new about myself and my skills with each jump.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Do it scared. It can be very intimidating in a lot of the industries that we are in to either speak our voice or raise our hand for an opportunity. We might fail. It's okay to be scared and do those things anyway, because you're always going to get a good learning out of it.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Challenges include the economy causing price drops, making it hard for people to recognize the quality and value of products and convincing them to invest, which is why small businesses need more marketing support. The biggest opportunity is leveraging AI to drive efficiencies, maximize investments, tell stories effectively, and from a marketplace perspective, using AI to find shining shops and sellers that stand out in a sea of options.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Fostering and supporting those around me, building a team and a supportive network. My work involves growing small businesses, so being respectful and acting in interests that grow businesses and others, always growing as a team.
