Her Interview

Ten minutes with Amy

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to hard work and work ethic. I preach having good communication skills, being able to make phone calls and figure out solutions to problems. Don't be afraid to get out there and put yourself in uncomfortable positions because we're always continuing to learn and grow. I'm a pretty big go-getter.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

A mentor once told me, Don't second-guess myself. Never second-guess myself. Go with my gut. Trust the process.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Find other women that are going to provide guidance and be positive. Find a mentor. Don't be afraid to take risks. Don't be hesitant. Find someone that's gonna push you forward and give you all the right tools to be successful.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge is balancing work and family. Trying to prioritize tasks to get the job done at work but still be present at home. Setting boundaries with work while being forward about what's going on. It's a give and take.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I value honesty and integrity. As long as you protect your morals and my values are God first, my family. Being able to stay true to who you are even in the most challenging situations. I'm always fair and honest but also empathetic. I empower other people to be successful. Respecting the process and the path that I've been given.
