Amy Hand is an accomplished National Business Development Manager based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with more than 26 years of experience in the construction and manufacturing industries. Currently with Legacy Building Solutions, she partners with architects, engineers, general contractors, and owners to deliver innovative, large-scale commercial facilities using Legacy’s advanced PVC-clad structural systems. Known for her entrepreneurial mindset, strategic networking, and customer-centric approach, Amy excels at building strong, long-term relationships while driving complex projects from initial concept to completion.


Amy’s career has been defined by continuous advancement, beginning with hands-on learning in construction from her father and expanding through roles in sales, operations management, and architectural services leadership. She has collaborated with builders, homeowners, manufacturing teams, and architectural professionals throughout her career. Her achievements include helping Legacy become a vetted vendor for a major U.S. company, securing large-scale contracts across multiple sectors—including energy and military—and implementing Legacy’s CRM system to strengthen national business relationships. Amy is also a former Salesman of the Year at A Cut Above Exteriors, a Presidents Club recipient at DaBella, and a contributor to Bechtel’s Supply Chain Company of the Year award for 2025. She is additionally a member of the University of St. Thomas Basketball Hall of Fame.


A respected leader, Amy is known for her strong listening skills, clear communication, and commitment to mentoring others—especially women entering construction-related fields. She holds a general contractor’s license in Minnesota and actively participates in Women in Construction–MN, advocating for knowledge, humility, and hands-on experience as keys to success. Outside of her professional life, Amy enjoys biking, kayaking, and spending time in her community with friends and neighbors.
