About Amy
Amy Hibbard is a formulation R&D chemist or scientist at Ultradent Products, where she works in the oral care department. Her role involves research and experimentation aimed at improving consumer oral health, including developing or refining whitening products, toothpaste, mouthwash, varnishes, and solutions for issues like tooth sensitivity, bad breath, and dry mouth. She began this position in May 2025 immediately after graduating from Southern Utah University with bachelor's degrees in both biology and chemistry. In addition to her scientific work, she has pursued specialization as a sommelier in wine. Hibbard attributes her success to personal dedication, self-belief, and support from mentors and team members.

01What do you attribute your success to?
For me, it's honestly just staying dedicated to what I personally feel is important. I love having the support from my team and from my mentors, whether that's at my work itself or when I was in college from professors. But just having that drive within yourself as a person has helped me more than anything else, just believing in myself. And knowing that I can achieve what I set my mind to, that's what really drives me.
