Her Interview
Ten minutes with Amy
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to an element of luck combined with being open and vulnerable enough to take the growth edge that everyone has. The mindset of self-initiation, being open to learning, and staying on the edge of your comfort zone has helped me capitalize on opportunities and continue growing.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best advice is don't sell yourself short and don't leave stones unturned. If there's an opportunity, take it. If you succeed, more power to you. If you don't, you have the experience under your belt and you can't lose either way.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Challenges include navigating organizational submission versus self-driven interests as a leader, balancing individual self-interests while driving the mission forward. Opportunities lie in AI unlocking human potential rather than replacing it, building the plane as we fly it in software and delivering artificial intelligence to the workforce.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Authenticity is most important, aligning personal values in the workplace and making genuine connections at the micro level with compassion, even if macro change isn't possible. Genuine, agentic connections with coworkers that are authentic and compassionate.
