I attribute my success to saying yes to opportunities before I felt fully ready and learning early to step into leadership with confidence—something that began my junior year when running for editor led to an unexpected seat beside my university president and a lesson in believing I belonged at the table. That moment shaped my willingness to take initiative, work hard, and trust that preparation and perseverance would open doors throughout my career.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to stay engaged, be proactive, and surround yourself with mentors who challenge and support you. I’ve been fortunate to learn from mentors, friends, and family who encouraged me to take initiative, believe in my abilities, and give back to my community.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the legal field is to focus on gaining education, be willing to take on any task to get your foot in the door, and remember that labels don’t matter—success comes from teamwork and collaboration.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
