Her Story

About Amy

I have been in the oil field industry for 20 years, with about 9 years specifically as a maintenance planner scheduler. In my role, I communicate daily with operators, engineers, and foremen, closing out work orders and taking care of preventative maintenance on equipment. My most notable professional achievement is my willingness to move up and my communication skills - the way that I communicate with the guys and help them with any needs that they need. I was a single mom for years, which made me work harder to get a better job where I could take care of my kids while also loving the job that I had. I never gave up and kept thriving to keep moving up and to get better pay, and it has paid off. After all the years that I've worked and the experience I have, I feel like I'm exactly where I wanted to be. I don't have any challenges like I used to before - with the company that I'm with right now, I feel like I have worked myself and got this position where I'm where I've always dreamed to be at. My next step would be possibly moving up to a foreman position, having somebody work under me.
