About Amy
Amy Mourey is the founder of a B2B event strategy education and consulting company that she has had for about 2 years. The company helps businesses turn trade shows and corporate events into measurable marketing and sales opportunities. She has only recently begun to focus solely on the business in the last month or so, after working with other corporate companies. Amy has been involved in events for as long as she can remember and has honed her skills in marketing and events over the last 4 to 6 years, finding her niche in larger B2B corporate events. She earned a degree in marketing along with a leadership minor during college, where experiences such as team fundraisers and various projects helped shape her approach to creating engaging experiences and working with diverse personalities.

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Everything's gotta be of positive energy, and if you can't learn to pivot, you'll never learn to survive an event. Keep that positive energy, always be ready to pivot, and make the dull things glitter.
02What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Budget is always key. Companies are realizing person-to-person connection is detrimentally important due to AI. Need full pre-show and post-show strategy to get real results from activations.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Being positive, strong, open-minded, a team player that can bring everybody else on board when everything's burning. Champion your team. Trust in your team and not being okay with that you can't control every variable.
