Her Interview

Ten minutes with Amy

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my children. As a mother of three and the sole parent, they motivated me to work hard, make sacrifices, and provide them with stability and opportunities. Seeing them grow into hardworking individuals is my greatest achievement.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

I would say the best advice I was ever given is I would rather see you make a bad decision than not make a decision at all. And that taught me Very early on, that failure is part of a process in some cases, and if you don't have the courage To make a decision, then you, you will constantly be in your own way because What comes behind that decision is part of life, and sometimes part of life is good and bad, and so When that person told me that I realized that they trusted me and so It gave me the confidence to realize, like, I do and I can think for myself.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering my industry is to work hard and stay willing to learn. Skills and talents can vary, but dedication, effort, and a willingness to grow are qualities that set people apart. A strong work ethic and the desire to succeed will always create opportunities.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

I think the biggest challenge in marketing in general, is that Marketing is one of the most important pieces of a business. Many times, when you look at somebody who opens a business, they may tell you that they're a dentist, but in the first two years, they're not. They're a marketing company. Like, you've got to be able to put your brand And what you're doing in the community out there, and unfortunately, in this day and age. We are bombarded with different tools to market with, and it, to me, it overwhelms business owners to the point where they're paralyzed to make a decision. So, for me, I think its just knowing that marketing's a tough gig, and you have to be able to market yourself the same way that you want to market for your clients. So that means for me literally outflowing every single day hundreds of emails. That's what it takes. Because the good people do the work. The good people do the follow-up, and that's where the gold is, is in the follow-up

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me are trust and empathy. I believe trust is the foundation of strong relationships, and empathy allows me to meet people where they are, recognize our differences, and support others without judgment.
