Her Story

About Amy

Amy West serves as Director of Key Accounts at Paradigm, where she works at the intersection of insurance, catastrophic case management, and client relationship management. In her role, she serves as a strategic liaison between insurance carrier clients and Paradigm’s clinical and medical teams, helping coordinate care, connect injured workers with specialized resources and centers of excellence, and support catastrophically injured employees and their families. She brings more than two decades of experience in commercial insurance claims and has developed deep expertise in workers’ compensation, claims operations, TPA oversight, and performance management.

Prior to joining Paradigm, West held progressively senior claims leadership positions, including Claims Manager, TPA Oversight at Clear Spring Property and Casualty Group and Claims Consultant at Lackawanna Insurance Group. Earlier in her career, she spent more than a decade with Liberty Mutual Insurance, progressing from Case Manager to Senior Claim Specialist roles and managing complex, high-exposure workers’ compensation claims. Her experience includes multi-jurisdictional claims oversight, claims auditing, KPI development, executive reporting, litigation strategy, medical management, settlement negotiations, technical mentoring, and process improvement.

West earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from Penn State University, with a minor in Corporate Law, and an MBA from Villanova University with specializations in Marketing and International Business. She is currently pursuing her CPCU designation and remains actively engaged in the insurance community through Young Risk Professionals, the Alliance of Women and Workers’ Compensation, and RISE, where she serves on the Event Planning Committee. She also supports Kids’ Chance, a charitable organization providing scholarships to children of catastrophically injured workers. Outside of her professional responsibilities, West values family, meaningful connections, personal growth, and experiences that create lasting memories, while encouraging emerging professionals to remain curious, invest in themselves, learn from others, and pursue opportunities that challenge them.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Amy

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would encourage young women to keep an open mind and actively seek opportunities beyond their day-to-day responsibilities. Be a sponge—learn from the people around you and be willing to take on opportunities that may initially feel intimidating or outside your comfort zone. Invest in yourself through webinars, professional development, and industry designations, and build relationships with peers both inside and outside your organization. Some of the most valuable opportunities for growth can come from experiences and connections beyond your immediate role.

02What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I value continuous learning, personal growth, meaningful relationships, and maintaining balance between professional achievement and personal experiences. I believe in investing in myself, learning from others, embracing opportunities that challenge me, and making time for the people and experiences that matter most. I also value mentorship, community, and helping others develop their potential.
