Amy Yallof, CPRW, is a Certified Professional Resume Writer and career coach with more than 30 years of experience in branding, marketing, and strategic communications. Based in White Plains, she is the founder of Amy Yallof Resumes & Career Coaching, where she helps students and professionals turn their experience into powerful personal brands that actually get results.

Her philosophy is simple: a little branding goes a long way.

Amy specializes in transforming resumes, LinkedIn profiles, and career narratives into strategic positioning tools that stand out in competitive job and admissions markets. She doesn’t just rewrite resumes, she reframes how her clients see and communicate their value.

Before launching her business, Amy spent decades leading high-impact marketing campaigns and rebranding initiatives across multiple industries. She brings that same results-driven mindset to every client, combining expertise in digital marketing, content strategy, and brand visibility to create career materials that are clear, compelling, and effective.

Her approach is highly personalized and hands-on. Whether she’s refining a resume, optimizing a LinkedIn profile, or preparing a client for interviews, Amy focuses on helping individuals communicate their strengths with clarity and confidence.

Through one-on-one coaching, strategic guidance, and tailored materials, she empowers her clients to navigate the job market with intention and stand out for the right reasons.

Because at the end of the day, it’s not just about what you’ve done, it’s about how you position it. And as Amy believes, a little branding goes a long way.

Q

What do you attribute your success to?

My success is directly tied to my clients’ success.

What drives me is seeing someone go from feeling stuck or overlooked to getting interviews and ultimately landing the job. That transformation, from uncertainty to confidence, is what I find most rewarding.

A big part of my work is helping people clearly understand and communicate their value. When that clicks for them, everything changes. That’s what fuels my business.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best advice I’ve ever received is “this too shall pass.”

I apply that in both challenging and successful moments. When things feel overwhelming, it reminds me that I’ll get through it. And when things are going well, it reminds me to stay present and appreciate it.

It’s helped me stay grounded and resilient throughout my career.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Don’t give up, and don’t let rejection define you.

There will be moments where it feels like an uphill battle, but persistence is everything. I really admire Sara Blakely and her mindset around failure. She embraces it as part of the process.

If you keep showing up, learning, and pushing forward, you will find your path.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

It’s a very competitive space, which means you have to clearly differentiate yourself and show real value.

At the same time, there’s a huge opportunity, especially with platforms like LinkedIn, to build a business, create visibility, and connect directly with your audience.

For me, the next step is scaling. I’m exploring expanding into recruiting because I’m already helping clients get fully positioned and interview ready. Naturally, the next question I get is, “Can you help me find the job?”

I see that as a natural evolution and a strong growth opportunity.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Trust and loyalty are incredibly important to me, both professionally and personally.

I also care deeply about helping and empowering people. A lot of what I do is giving clients the confidence to put themselves out there in a stronger way.

I value enthusiasm and positivity as well. The energy you bring into your work really impacts the people around you.
