Her Story

About Ana

Ana is a dedicated leader in early childhood education with more than 20 years of experience supporting children, families, and educators. Currently serving as Program Director and Area Manager at Little Sunshine’s Playhouse in the Atlanta metropolitan area, she oversees educational programs while fostering positive learning environments where young children can thrive. Her passion for education began while homeschooling her own children and serving in children’s ministry, experiences that inspired her to pursue a career devoted to nurturing the growth and development of young learners.

Throughout her career, Ana has held leadership roles across several preschool and childcare organizations, including Primrose Schools, Children’s Ark Academy, Lake Worth Christian School, and Calvary Chapel Preschool. Her ability to build strong relationships with families, mentor teaching staff, and manage school operations has earned her a reputation as a compassionate and effective educational leader. Since joining Little Sunshine’s Playhouse in 2019, she has continued to champion engaging, play-based learning experiences that help children develop confidence, curiosity, and essential life skills.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Ana is deeply committed to serving her community. She regularly volunteers with the Salvation Army in Marietta, contributing to food bank initiatives and holiday toy drives for families in need. A proud mother and grandmother, she credits much of her success to the support of her family and her willingness to think creatively when facing challenges. Ana encourages aspiring women leaders to step forward confidently, remain visible in their organizations, and embrace opportunities with faith and courage, believing that growth often comes from taking bold leaps into the unknown.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Ana

01What do you attribute your success to?

My family drives me. I've been married for 33 years, and we've always served at church and helped in the community as a family. I have a personality where if you say the mountain is too high, I say we can get high. There's nothing impossible, there's always a way. You just gotta think outside the box.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Putting themselves in a position where they're seen is very important, but also just take a leap of faith. Sometimes you think you're going in a direction and there's something else ahead of you. Don't be afraid of just jumping in and doing it.
