About Anaida
Anaida Leon serves as Business Development Manager for Charter Oak Home Care in Torrington, Connecticut, a role she has held for six months. In this position, she focuses on onboarding new clients and networking to help families feel comfortable seeking home care services, drawing from her personal experience as a caregiver for her mother who has ALS. Prior to this, Leon worked for four to five years in the nonprofit sector, beginning at PBS in Tampa where she developed a passion for media marketing and accessible education, followed by public health prevention work aimed at reducing substance use among teens and younger students. She created the prevention podcast Ask Your Dose during her time as a prevention coordinator. Leon graduated from the University of South Florida with degrees in English and Psychology. Her professional achievements include the SAMHSA 2024 Prevention Award for Outstanding Work in Prevention and recognition as one of the First 100 Partners in Prevention for Ask Your Dose, as well as her company's receipt of the 2025 Leaders in Home Care award. She is a member of LABA, the Litchfield Association for Businesses.
