Her Story

About Analyce

I’m a child welfare and juvenile justice professional with more than a decade of experience working across permanency casework, statewide program implementation, and contract compliance. My career has taken me through roles in juvenile justice, behavioral health, child protection, and court administration, and I’m driven by a commitment to improving the systems that support youth and families. I enjoy the problem‑solving, collaboration, and structured evaluation that come with my work, and I find purpose in helping agencies strengthen their practices and the services they provide.

Outside of the justice system, music has always been a defining part of my life. I’m a classically trained flutist with a Master of Music Performance, and over the years I’ve built a private flute studio of dedicated students. Watching them grow as musicians has become one of my greatest joys—many have placed at the top of the state, earned positions through competitive auditions, and won performance awards. Even though I don’t perform as often as I once did, I still find fulfillment in teaching and supporting the next generation of young artists.

At my core, I’m someone who values learning, connection, and meaningful work—whether I’m collaborating with providers to improve services or helping a student discover confidence in their playing.

Ten minutes with Analyce

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to a deep commitment to learning, the mentorship I’ve received across both music and public service, and the discipline I developed through years of musical training. These values guide how I approach problem‑solving, collaboration, and improvement in every professional role.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve received was from a mentor who reminded me that I don’t have to limit myself to one professional direction. It helped me see that I’m capable of more than I initially believed—and that exploring all my strengths is not only valid but necessary.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this field is to trust the strengths you naturally bring to the work. Women are often incredibly thoughtful, collaborative, insightful, and creative—qualities that are essential in systems that rely on communication, problem‑solving, and empathy. Your perspective adds value. Don’t hesitate to speak up, ask questions, and offer ideas. The industry needs voices like yours.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in this field is that it has historically been male‑dominated, and some long‑time professionals can be resistant to shifts in research, best practices, and societal expectations. As studies continue to evolve—especially around youth development, rehabilitation, and trauma‑informed approaches—there’s a tremendous opportunity to modernize systems, embrace evidence‑based methods, and create more responsive, youth‑centered services.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Integrity

Being honest, dependable, and consistent builds trust everywhere—at work, in relationships, and within myself.

Respect

Respecting others’ perspectives, time, boundaries, and experiences creates healthier interactions and better collaboration.

Empathy

Understanding and valuing what others feel or experience strengthens communication and human connection.

Accountability

Taking responsibility—for my choices, work, and relationships—shows maturity and reliability.

Being Open to Growth

A commitment to learning and self‑improvement helps me evolve professionally and personally.
