Analysa Powell works at a law firm while pursuing her passion as a hairstylist after recently completing cosmetology school, where she graduated on the Dean's List. Her diverse professional background includes managing three restaurants over four years, working in the corporate environment at Chick-fil-A, and a 15-year career as a professional ballet dancer before an early retirement due to injury. Powell is currently building her own business alongside her parents, whom she credits with helping her rebuild after challenging times, and she advises young women to balance slowing down with pushing their limits without falling into laziness.

01What do you attribute your success to?

My mom and my dad. They picked me up and helped me rebuild myself piece by piece like I was a little Lego after some pretty rough years.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

It's okay to slow down and take your time, but that shouldn't create a habit of laziness. There's a difference between catching your breath and reorganizing versus not doing anything. Want the best for yourself, don't be ashamed to slow down, but also push yourself to your limits. Don't be ashamed to be that girl that does it all.
