About Ananya

I work at Harvey & Company as a research assistant, where I joined in August 2025 after graduating from the University of Arizona. As part of the team, we all help with M&A buy-side advising, working with clients from different industries like business services, energy, and engineering. It's been quite a process because these are very niche industries, so I have to get myself familiarized with all the industries and all the finance terms. Coming from an economics and marketing background, it has been a challenge learning all the finance terms, and I was not ready for it at first, but I joined in and worked and just studied myself a little bit and got familiar with the terms. I recently wrote an article that was published on Harvey & Company's LinkedIn about how research changes deal sourcing. I'm pretty focused at work right now because it's a lot and I'm learning a lot. I'm planning on getting my master's and getting into investment banking in the future.

01What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
