Her Story
About Anastasia
Anastasia Davis is a photographer with approximately 16 years of experience who began her career in high school in Alaska, where she started a small company focused on nature photography and portraits. After moving to Arizona following her marriage, she paused her professional photography for about six years before resuming it recently, with a specialization in maternal photography including maternity, newborn, postpartum, and birth sessions to help preserve meaningful family memories. She is also pursuing training in non-destructive testing and engineering through a grant scholarship, building on earlier experiences as a high school volunteer firefighter and in emergency medical training in Alaska, where she had begun a paramedic program interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Davis finds personal meaning in supporting Control-Alt-Delete, a nonprofit that assists domestic violence victims with escape resources, drawing from her own background.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would hand everything that I know over to her. You gotta find your niche, you gotta find your thing that makes you really, really happy in the field, because there's so many niches in photography. I gotta find something that not only makes you happy, but you enjoy and want to keep doing.
