Anastasia Lowe
Anastasia Lowe is a dynamic banking professional, currently serving as Branch Manager and Vice President of Business Banking at PNC. Her career path has been an inspiring journey, beginning in the service industry, where she honed her skills as a bartender, including at a casino in Pittsburgh. A conversation in 2015 with a pregnant coworker about PNC’s maternity leave benefits sparked her interest in banking. Seeking a career that allowed her to balance family and work, she joined PNC as a teller in October 2019. Leveraging her years of experience interacting with people, Anastasia quickly advanced through the ranks, becoming a banker in May 2020, senior banker in June 2021, assistant branch manager in May 2022, and ultimately branch manager in October 2024. Her rapid progression reflects her ability to connect authentically with clients and lead teams with insight and empathy.
Anastasia’s educational background includes dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in History and Women’s Studies from West Virginia University, complemented by proficiency in American Sign Language. In her current role as branch manager, she starts each day leading quick start meetings with her team, reviewing upper management communications and loss prevention updates, conducting client debriefs and appointments, and monitoring sales goals and compliance. She specializes in business banking, working closely with small business owners on everything from account opening to lending and credit solutions—a part of her role she finds particularly rewarding. Her dedication to excellence was recognized when she achieved Market All-Star status for 2025 in Western Pennsylvania, an accomplishment she celebrated while on maternity leave with her third child.
Beyond her professional achievements, Anastasia is passionate about supporting women in business and working parents. She actively organizes and participates in events that connect women entrepreneurs, foster networking opportunities, and celebrate leadership within the community. Known for her resilience, authenticity, and collaborative approach, she brings a human touch to banking, helping clients and teams thrive alike. Anastasia continues to drive meaningful impact at PNC and within the broader business community, balancing a thriving career with family life.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the journey it took to get where I am today. I've been in the banking field for 6 and a half years, and I started out as a teller. Throughout maternity leaves - I have 3 children - as they grew, so did I. I got promoted very quickly from teller to banker to senior banker and now Branch Manager. I was never in the same position for more than a year and a couple months until I got my ABM position. I've worked very hard and just achieved Market All-Star status in 2025, which was a personal goal I set for myself. I found out a couple weeks ago while I'm on maternity leave right now, so while exceeding my personal career goals, I was also growing a little human, which I feel very honored about. I love working with small business and being a leader to my team, and I'm looking forward to achieving more goals.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
You can have a career that you love and be able to be a working mom. I have 3 beautiful children, and I've learned that being able to speak to people on their level and being human with clients is something you can't really teach. My interactions with people throughout my service industry career, especially bartending, really propelled my banking career because that customer interaction and ability to connect with people is invaluable.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I think my story might be a lot like a lot of females in their mid to late 20s who don't really know what they want to be when they grow up. Taking the leap and changing a career might be the best thing that happens to you. I had a whole career change in my 30s - I'm going to be 35 - and everybody asks what you want to be when you grow up, but I think I'm still trying to figure that out. You can have it all - a career, be a wife, have time to be a mom, and be successful at all of them. Don't be afraid to make that change even if you're not sure where you're headed.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Right now, the biggest challenge for me is being at a new location as Branch Manager while on maternity leave with my new baby. I got both a new branch and a new position on my 5-year anniversary with the company in October 2024 - I spent all of my career in the same place and then suddenly had to transition to a completely new branch. Balancing that transition with being on maternity leave after having my third child in February has been a unique challenge, though I'm proud that I still managed to achieve Market All-Star status during this time.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Being able to work hard in my field while also being present for my 3 children and spending time with my husband is incredibly important to me. We're major baseball fans - my husband and I are very into baseball, he played and I played softball - and we've been to 17 of the 30 Major League Baseball stadiums with a goal to hit all of them. We try to get to 2 every summer, and we have a trip planned in June to see the Phillies and the Mets to knock two more off the list. I'm taking advantage of PNC's 18-week maternity leave, which I think is probably one of the best in the industry, to really capitalize on time off with my family, especially going into summer with my older kids. I'm also very active in our church - we're pretty active members at Mount Carmel Parish here in Pittsburgh. And Grow Up Great, a nonprofit, is very important to me, along with my work on the ACES team at PNC where I got to have my voice heard on how to make our systems more user-friendly for frontline workers.
