Ten minutes with Andrea

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Control what you can control. Use the exercise of two horizontal lines measuring impact on life versus reaction to center yourself. View failure as an opportunity for learning and growth rather than a negative, as more is learned from failures than successes.

02What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Challenges include dealing with different personalities and priorities with different administrations, and balancing needs of stakeholders like Medicare beneficiaries, states, and Social Security while meeting administration priorities. Opportunities include embracing AI to enhance efficiency and human interaction rather than replace jobs.
