Andrea Kirkwood

Andrea Kirkwood serves as an HR Director with 17 years of experience in the field, having started in the early 2000s. Her professional journey began in the medical field as a certified nursing assistant, after which she stepped into an HR role covering for an employee on leave at American Rehabilitation. She enjoyed the work so much that she pursued further education and was hired permanently as an HR representative, remaining with the company for six years until it closed. Kirkwood then took a position as a staffing manager, gaining experience in recruiting and onboarding, before obtaining her Human Resource Management certification from Villanova University to broaden her expertise. She later earned a master's degree in psychology from Ashford University, inspired by her son, and advanced through various HR areas including generalist, employee relations, recruitment, benefits, and payroll support, ultimately reaching the director level. In addition to her corporate HR career, which included time at Wellstar, Kirkwood launched a food truck business in 2019 focused on vegetarian, plant-based, and soul food options. She is an active member of the Feed the Homeless Project and donates to support those in need on her own time. Kirkwood holds an associate's degree from Southwest Tennessee College and a bachelor's degree from the University of Phoenix.
