Her Interview

Ten minutes with Andrea

01What do you attribute your success to?

My parents taught me to be tenacious, keep dreaming but also be realistic, break down goals, push forward through hard stuff, and respect others regardless of status. They were great role models who made sacrifices.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Don't belittle yourself. Trust in yourself because there's a reason you're an expert. Curiosity is important too - stay confident but keep learning and growing.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Don't belittle yourself. Believe in yourself. Stay curious. Plan out your goals and review them repeatedly. Surround yourself with the right people. Stand up for who you want to be and look for the right company.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Imposter syndrome is normal and shows you're growing by putting yourself in new situations. It's uncomfortable but means you're pushing boundaries and will eventually feel comfortable.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Morals and ethics - know right from wrong and don't take the wrong turn even in tough corporate situations. See others as your team for problem resolution instead of them versus me. This reduces stress and helps see people as human.
