I officially started my journey in training and development in 2017 as a trainer for hostesses at Fiana Hotels Restaurants Pao, one of the most well-renowned restaurants here in Miami. After training hostesses who were brand new to the restaurant organization, I became the main trainer for them. I also started training coaches when I moved to Miami, working with self-empowerment models that my mentor taught me. From there, I went straight into the corporate world when I joined Logisticare, where I was placed in a role as a training manager. I started building the infrastructure for one of the best programs we designed in the entire country for non-emergency medical transportation. Almost three years ago, Lennar reached out to me via LinkedIn to see if I wanted to become a facilitator, an onboarding facilitator, to create and support the design of the onboarding program at Lennar. I came here to solidify all that knowledge that basically started officially in the restaurant world, and I've been able to bring it to the corporate world, to the second largest home builder in the nation. In my current role, my typical day involves process improvement, reviewing information about artificial intelligence and how it's supporting our programs, working on change management, designing processes to help our facilitators, and designing content that gets sent to marketing for proper branding. On the side, I'm a family constellations therapist who handles trauma from the generational and family aspect, because a lot of us inherit traumas from our past generations and ancestors. I also train freelance journalists through Global Security Journalism, where we travel to different cities and train journalists who are selling their stories to different media channels on stress management, resiliency, and survival so that when they go into hostile environments, the survival rate is higher. I love designing training infrastructure, but what really touches my heart every time is training the journalists, because through that training, we're saving lives every single day.
