About Andrea
I began my career in television in 1984 as a temporary employee at QTV, the NBC affiliate in Chicago. I graduated with honors from Columbia College in Chicago in 1985. I worked my way up to the Oprah Winfrey Show and have been a camera utility for over 30 years covering Bears games, Stanley Cup finals, and the Chicago Cubs World Series at venues including Soldier Field, Wrigley Field, and the United Center.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I've always had an extra gear, willing to roll up my sleeves and dig in to make sure I do an outstanding job and be an asset to every production.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Work hard, have an outstanding attitude, and be willing to pitch in wherever needed. Make contacts and try to make a lasting impression so people will remember you and ask for you by name.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Have a great attitude, be professional, be willing to help out wherever needed, make contacts, and try to make a lasting impression.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Finding work and keeping the work constant, especially in a male-dominated field where you have to stand out, be strong, and work hard.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
To be a professional, to be kind, to behave, to be handy, to show up, and to have an outstanding attitude. My philosophy is to work until you no longer have to introduce yourself and to never give up and believe in yourself.
