Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my unwavering dedication to children and families. For more than a decade, my work has centered on caring for, teaching, and uplifting children an effort that has always felt like a true calling rather than a job. My experience in early childhood education, including my time supporting a nonprofit daycare, strengthened my commitment to creating meaningful support systems for families. That passion ultimately inspired me to launch my own business a year ago, allowing me to serve families with greater independence and purpose. Most recently, I expanded my work by helping a client publish a book, a rewarding milestone that reflects both my growth and my dedication to making a positive impact.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received came from my mentors, Christine Richardson and Betty Dimby. Their guidance has been invaluable in helping me build confidence in myself, my abilities, and the direction of my new business. As I work to reach a different audience, their support has reminded me that I’m not alone in this journey, and it’s empowering to have mentors who believe in both my vision and my potential.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to build a life that honors your purpose, not just your schedule. When you align your work with your true purpose, everything else will adjust around it. Don’t wait for perfection start with what you have, where you are, and grow from there. Approach your business with confidence, put your best foot forward, and stay focused on your goals. Trust yourself, manage your schedule thoughtfully, and don’t let others’ opinions or imposter syndrome hold you back from achieving your full potential.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

My journey hasn’t been without challenges. Balancing a growing business while homeschooling six children requires constant readjustment, grace, and resilience. There are days when the demands of motherhood compete with client deadlines, or when I’m navigating fatigue while still showing up with purpose. I’ve had to learn how to create structure in unpredictable moments, how to stay disciplined without losing compassion for myself, and how to keep moving forward even when resources, time, or support felt limited. But every challenge has strengthened me. It taught me to be flexible, to trust my calling, and to remember that even slow progress is still progress. Also finding those who support your vision not just emotionally but financially and having them aligned with your goals can be a challenge at times.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

My faith is so important to me and living by example is how I have always conducted myself not just in business but of course in my personal life and the values that I do pass on to my children .as many entrepreneurial parents know: balance isn’t a static destination; it’s an everyday choreography. My mornings often start with my two youngest children, guiding them through reading, writing, and early learning from 9 to 12. Nap time becomes my window for client work, publishing tasks, and building pieces of my brand everything from editing projects to collecting video testimonials. Some days are unpredictable. All days are full. But each day is grounded in intention. People often ask me how I manage it all. My answer is simple: I was built for this. Helping people especially children comes naturally to me. Supporting families, uplifting young learners, and building a business that reflects my values isn’t just work it’s meaningful work.
