About Angel
Angel Valencia is a peer counselor for the Career Services department at a university in Hawaii. She works part-time assisting students with creating and improving resumes, conducting mock interviews to build confidence and first impressions, and providing general career assessments along with guidance and resources for those exploring future paths. Valencia also manages the department website for an upcoming career conference that connects students with organization leaders from Asia for networking and internship opportunities. A student at BYU Hawaii, she is majoring in Supply Chain, Operations and Analytics as well as HR with an anticipated graduation in Spring 2028. Across three years in various fields, she has held positions as a virtual assistant, sales representative, English tutor, market researcher, and admin assistant. Previously serving as a workshop specialist, she helped design and deliver an eight-session workshop series for campus employees on departmental services. Valencia has received leadership awards and frequently attends leadership seminars on campus. She volunteers with Helping Hands, Bird Drives, a Hawaii College organization aiding parents, and the Hawaii Food Bank.
