Angela Alvelo

Angela Alvelo owns McCora's Records, a record company she founded in 2023 in Missouri. She is also a singer with a unique sound blending Tejano, Texas Stomp, soul, and R&B elements, and she publishes and distributes her own music internationally. Prior to opening her record label, Alvelo worked in the food and beverage industry, opening restaurants and managing airport operations, and served as a caretaker. Her journey into music was inspired by her late mother, Marsha, who encouraged her to sing and start her own company to avoid being taken advantage of in the industry. Alvelo has released multiple albums, including her country album Texas Pride, and continues to produce music while advocating for lupus, invisible illnesses, and domestic violence survivors. She also runs a Mary Kay business since 2012, donating all proceeds to causes such as cancer care packages and support for domestic violence shelters through her United Beauty non-profit foundation. Alvelo aims to mentor independent artists, expand her label internationally, and use her platform to help those in need, including providing housing and resources for medical travel.
