What do you attribute your success to?
My tenaciousness. I do not give up. I have also had numerous mentors over the years that have a had the patience to teach me the knowledge that they have.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Never give up! Before my graduation, I had a professor give me a desk plaque and I look at it daily. It reads, Mindset noun [miynd-set] The collection of thoughts and beliefs that shape your thought habits. The driving force in the quest for success and achievement, a mindset that combines discipline, strength, confidence and ambition is a powerful mindset, this can anything it sets its sights on A powerful mind can achieve anything.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
The advice I would give to young women entering the industry is to never let a male-dominated environment deter you from your dreams. You can accomplish anything you set your mind to, and your perspective and contributions are valuable.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the challenges I’ve faced in my career has been working in a predominately male industry. Navigating this environment has required resilience, confidence, and a willingness to assert myself while building strong professional relationships.
