Before joining Kohl’s, Angela built a diverse professional background in both retail and legal services. She worked as a paralegal assistant at Clark & Washington, P.C., and as a title examiner/paralegal at a real estate title law firm, where she managed client files, conducted legal research, and ensured compliance with regulations. Earlier in her career, she also gained extensive leadership experience in the restaurant industry as a Manager and Training Specialist with Steak ’n Shake, overseeing operations, training, and team development.

Angela’s educational foundation includes a Bachelor of Science in Pre-Law Studies with a minor in Business Management from Toccoa Falls College and a Paralegal Certificate from Emory University. This blend of legal and business training has provided her with strong organizational, analytical, and leadership skills that she has carried into her career in retail.

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

The advice I would give to young women entering the industry is not to set rigid expectations. Be patient, and most importantly, be empathetic. Approaching your career with compassion and understanding will not only help you grow but will also inspire those around you.
