Her Story

About Angela

I've been working as a realtor for a couple of years now, and what really inspired me to get into this field was the ability to be my own boss, have my own company, and work for myself. My most notable professional achievement so far has been closing two deals in one month in a brand new builder's development. I hold my Florida Realtor State License and my LCAM (Licensed Community Association Manager) certification. I'm also a notary and have earned two associate's degrees, along with numerous other certifications including OSHA, CPR, AED, first aid, and board member certificates. I'm very active in my community and profession, serving as a member of the Realtors Association, on the City of Deerfield Beach Committee, on the board for my association, and on the board for my Republican Club. I'm also a member of the Deerfield Beach Women's Club and the Italian American Club of South Florida. One of the biggest challenges in my field is convincing New Yorkers to come down to Florida and buy - if they had a chance to come down here for 2 weeks on vacation, or even just for 3 months, they would definitely want to be down here because we live in paradise.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Angela

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my appearance.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I've ever received was to be persistently consistent, which came from my real estate teacher.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

You start out slow, but then all of a sudden, it hits you. But you gotta do it full-time. You can't do part-time. It's gotta be full-time. And you're gonna have to do it with a little nest egg for a year - build your nest egg. You have to have your own money to live off of for a year, because you're not going to make any money the first year. It's a struggle, but only strong survivors make it.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenges are convincing New Yorkers to come down to Florida and buy. If they had a chance to come down here for 2 weeks on vacation, or even just for 3 months, they would definitely want to be down here. I mean, we live in paradise.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me in my work and personal life are New York work ethics and Christian morals.
