Ten minutes with Angela

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my faith, perseverance, determination, and genuine desire to help others. Life has presented challenges that have taught me resilience and the importance of continuing to move forward. I also credit the encouragement of influential people in my life, along with my commitment to personal growth and education. Returning to school and earning my associate degree with a perfect 4.0 GPA reinforced my belief that determination and passion can help us accomplish meaningful goals, even when the journey takes longer than expected.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice is that it is never too late to accomplish something meaningful. Regardless of your age or circumstances, you can still pursue your goals if you have the desire and passion to keep going. There may be times when life requires you to put your dreams on hold, but that does not mean you have to give them up. Stay determined, continue learning, and believe in your ability to move forward. Passion can fuel you through challenges and help you create opportunities for yourself.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Working in healthcare-related customer service requires accuracy, professionalism, compassion, and discretion, particularly when handling confidential patient information and communicating with medical professionals. It is important to ensure that patients receive helpful and respectful assistance while maintaining the privacy and accuracy of their information. Employee training also presents an opportunity to help colleagues strengthen their communication skills, confidence, and service quality. Through my experience and continued studies in Health Management, I hope to expand my knowledge and contribute to effective healthcare operations and positive patient experiences.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I value faith, family, compassion, perseverance, integrity, service, education, and encouraging others. I believe every person deserves understanding, respect, and an opportunity to grow. As a mother of three, I want to set a positive example for my children through hard work, continued education, and determination. My faith is central to my life and motivates me to support others, particularly those facing difficult circumstances. I hope my journey demonstrates that obstacles do not have to prevent us from pursuing meaningful goals or making a positive difference in the lives of others.
