Angela Hall is Vice President of Americas Consulting at SAS, where she leads a world-class consulting organization across the United States, Canada, and Latin America. With more than 25 years as a SAS software user and over 16 years at SAS, Angela is deeply passionate about helping organizations turn data and analytics into meaningful business outcomes. She oversees client engagement, project delivery, team development, and strategic planning, working closely with sales, customer success, and technical teams to deliver high-impact, consultative services.
Angela’s career spans analytics, quality engineering, and consulting leadership, grounded in a strong foundation in statistics and business strategy. She began working with analytical software early in her career and has spent nearly two decades in consulting roles, guiding teams that deliver advanced analytics, fraud detection, and decision-support solutions. Known for her advocacy of emerging technologies—particularly AI—Angela champions continual learning, experimentation, and knowledge-sharing to ensure both her teams and clients stay ahead in a rapidly evolving data landscape.
A committed servant leader, Angela believes leadership is about enabling others to succeed. She is passionate about mentoring, empowering teams, and fostering a culture where expertise is shared rather than siloed. What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I ever received was to strive for excellence and to manage up—advocating for what needs to be done to help my manager succeed, which ultimately advances my own career.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
For young women entering the industry, I’d advise advocating for yourself, taking advantage of the wider opportunities available today, and building supportive networks of women—while also prioritizing continuous learning and professional development, even amid competing responsibilities.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest opportunity in my field is the availability of more powerful analytic tools and computing resources, which make advanced tasks like text analytics faster and more accessible. The primary challenge is finding the time to stay current and continue professional development while balancing caregiving and other life responsibilities.
