About Angela
Angela Hernandez Scoggins is an animation and higher-education professional currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Austin Peay State University. She began her teaching career as a graduate assistant at the University of Central Florida in 2017 while pursuing her Master's of Fine Arts, which she completed in 2020. She transitioned to full-time teaching in 2022 and joined Austin Peay State University, drawn by its Center for the Excellence of the Creative Arts. Her expertise centers on animation education and teaching animation, and she is a member of the Society for Animation Studies, Women in Animation, and the Tennessee Animation Association. In addition to her academic role, she pursues creative work through short independent films and freelance projects for nonprofits.
