Angela Hinojosa

I started my career in healthcare back in 2006, and I've been in the field for nearly 20 years now. Throughout my career, I've moved back and forth between compliance and leadership roles, always staying within healthcare. I began as a compliance analyst at a different organization where I focused primarily on billing and coding, then progressed to a compliance consultant role before becoming a Senior Compliance Consultant in April 2025. In my current position, every day is different because we deal with everything that is compliance-related. Whether that's dealing with HIPAA privacy concerns, documentation concerns, or other regulatory matters, my key responsibility is ensuring that we are being compliant as an organization with federal and state regulations. One of my proudest moments was publishing an article with HCCA, the Healthcare Compliance Association, which was published in November. I'm committed to continuing to grow in my field and staying up-to-date on everything, especially since healthcare and compliance are always changing. I want to make sure I'm getting my continuing education and would like to get some more credentials behind my name. I'd also like to potentially write another article in the future.
