About Angela
Angela Nkugwa is a procurement category leader with experience in construction and design. She currently works at RIT, where she has been for nearly five years, managing a small sub-team, issuing RFPs, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and leading strategic initiatives such as creating a general contractor term agreement. Her career path began with an engineering degree, followed by roles as a project engineer at a general construction firm and administrative work at an architectural firm, before moving into procurement after completing her MBA at Simon Business School. She also serves as co-founder and grant writer for NCUBA Team Impact, a nonprofit that collects sports equipment for Uganda and runs free basketball and soccer camps, and as a board member for an all-girls charter school in Rochester, New York. Additionally, she is a musician and music director who started her own business, Marin Bay's, focused on wine events and musical services. Her educational background in business school, where she studied marketing, organizational behavior, and pricing, has shaped her journey and broadened her perspective on applying skills across fields.
