About Angelia
Angelia Galloway brings over two decades of human resources expertise to her role in manufacturing, with 26 years in HR and 18 years specifically in the manufacturing sector in North Carolina. She began her career in HR at a family mental health company before transitioning to production work in manufacturing, advancing through management ranks with mentorship support. At Goodyear, she served as an HR Generalist and later as Talent Manager, where she focuses on developing leadership programs, succession planning, and talent growth. Galloway earned her BA in Criminal Justice with an emphasis in Political Science from the University of Arizona Global, along with business certifications and a certificate in construction project management from Columbia University. Her professional highlights include creating the Area Manager Guide and earning the Culture Award for shifting plant culture. She draws from personal experiences as an amputee and community involvement with United Way and Habitat for Humanity to guide her passion for helping others advance in their careers.

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Don't be the smartest person in the room. My mentor told me that. A person with wisdom knows that they don't have to be the smartest person in the room. If you're ever in a room and you're the smartest person in that room, then you're not growing.
