Angelia Williams, PhD
Angelia Williams, PhD is a renowned performance psychologist, professional vocal coach, researcher, and host of the “Creatively Balanced” podcast. She is the founder and CEO of Angelia Williams Enterprises LLC, where she combines advanced psychological skills training with her extensive vocal performance expertise to help singers, public speakers, and creative professionals achieve peak performance while prioritizing well-being. Angelia holds a PhD in Performance Psychology and a Master of Science in Psychology from Grand Canyon University, where her research focused on how well-being (PERMA) affects optimal performance in soul singers.
Born in Chicago, IL, Angelia discovered her passion for music at just three years old. By nine, she was leading her local church choir, and by 14, she was touring with the duet act “Tamara and Angie.” Over the years, she became a celebrated mezzo-soprano, performing with gospel groups such as The Enspired Chorale, The Voices of Praise, and Shekinah, and sharing the stage with iconic artists including Fred Hammond, Karen Clark-Sheard, Detrick Haddon, and Kim Burrell. From 1992 to 2002, she served as Praise and Worship Lead and Section Leader at Balm and Gilead For All People International Ministries in Milwaukee.
An award-winning educator and mentor, Angelia has been recognized multiple times by the Nashville Awards for excellence in vocal coaching. She trains students across genres including Gospel, Jazz, Classical, R&B, Pop, and Musical Theatre, blending technical instruction with psychological strategies to optimize performance and personal growth. Through her work, she emphasizes integrity, authenticity, and balance, guiding clients to develop not only their talents but also resilience, emotional intelligence, and confidence in every aspect of their careers.

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice Angelia has ever received is: “You are extremely rare and special. Go out and use it.” This guidance reminds her to recognize her unique strengths and talents, approach opportunities with confidence, and make a meaningful impact in every professional endeavor she pursues.
