Her Interview

Ten minutes with Angelica

01What do you attribute your success to?

My education, my foundation like my family how they raised me, my morals, and ultimately my desire to help people which led me to pursue the business administration degree and apply it at Freedom Care.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Don't ever take anything personal. This applies especially when working with sick patients and caregivers who may sound abrupt due to exhaustion, or in virtual communications where tone can be misread.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Be very graceful in the process, in the sense of not being too hard on themselves. Be gentle with yourself especially when you're growing. You might have Plan A but you might end up with Plan C.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The closure of the CDPAP program in New York which forced many companies including ours to shut down operations there, leading to heartbreak as we could no longer serve our home community, though we continue helping people in other states like Indiana.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Being there for everyone, even if they're not my agent or family member. I care and assist anyone that may come across and need assistance.
