Her Interview
Ten minutes with Angelica
01What do you attribute your success to?
It's all about strategy. You have to take care of yourself first, and everything else will fall in place. I failed to do that at a point in time because I was so passionate and so involved, you forget about yourself.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Always research before you get involved. Research the people, research the industry that you would like to be involved with. Learn all the ins and outs to it. And listen, and pay attention. Sometimes you don't have to ask questions, you can just watch.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Getting the jobs, seeking opportunities, networking, securing the opportunity, and securing capital. Managing a team with different backgrounds and diversity is very challenging.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity. I need my customer to trust me as I trust them. It's bigger than just a job, it's a relationship. You're being the same way at all times, whether they're gone, whether they're there. Trust is important, and it takes you a long way.
