Q

What do you attribute your success to?

Every milestone I’ve reached has come from persistence, self-belief, and showing up even when it was difficult. I’ve learned to trust my instincts, advocate for my worth, and create opportunities where none existed. The design industry doesn’t always make space for soft voices or unconventional paths but I’ve carved out my own by staying true to my values and pushing through challenges with resilience. My success is the result of hard work, self-reflection, and refusing to wait for permission to do meaningful, impactful work.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

It sounds simple, but those three words have carried me through creative blocks, rejections, and moments of self-doubt. This field can be tough designers are constantly asked to prove their value, justify their process, and navigate a world that often underestimates creative work. But continuing on, even when it’s hard, has been the key. Every step forward no matter how small has built the career I have today. Keep going means trusting that your voice, your work, and your presence matter, even when the world hasn’t caught up yet.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Be open to making mistakes you will learn from every single one. Perfection isn’t the goal; growth is. Don’t let fear of getting it wrong stop you from trying, experimenting, or speaking up. Some of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned came from projects that didn’t go as planned. Every misstep is part of the process, and each one brings you closer to finding your voice and your style. Trust yourself, stay curious, and don’t be afraid to take up space in rooms where you might be the only one who looks or thinks like you.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest opportunities in design right now is the ability to become your own brand to step into entrepreneurship. With the rise of digital platforms and accessible tools, designers no longer have to wait for permission from agencies or companies to do meaningful work. You can build your own studio, sell your art, launch a brand, or collaborate globally all on your own terms. Of course, it comes with challenges: finding clients, staying consistent, wearing multiple hats. But the creative freedom and personal fulfillment that come from building something of your own? That’s a game changer.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I believe in showing up with both heart and commitment. Passion keeps the work purposeful it reminds me why I started and why it matters. But discipline is what keeps things moving forward. It’s easy to be inspired for a moment; it’s harder to stay dedicated over time. I value the balance between loving what I do and being accountable to it, even on the tough days. That mix of intention and follow-through is what helps me grow, both as a designer and as a person.
