I had 5 logos across 5 platforms, and I was going in circles. My creative advisor helped me throw away all but one niche, which narrowed my focus, and created a beautiful brand. I can think and breathe now!

Her Story

About Angelica

Angelica Rivera is the Founder and Digital Content Creator behind Software Treasure Chest Publishing, a Hayward, Wisconsin-based venture dedicated to helping others navigate the world of online business and digital entrepreneurship. After stepping away from her earlier career as a FEMA inspector, Rivera explored several work-from-home paths, including travel agency work and scheduling medical appointments for veterans, before discovering her passion for affiliate marketing and, eventually, content creation. Over the past two years, she has built her expertise in digital marketing and publishing from the ground up, teaching herself the technical skills needed to launch websites and market her products with the help of AI tools and free online resources.

Rivera's flagship project, the Golden Key Collection, is a growing library of e-books, audiobooks, and videos designed to guide aspiring entrepreneurs toward sustainable, low-risk business ventures. The series opens with a complimentary guide, Know Your Niche, created to steer newcomers away from costly courses and software that often fail to deliver on their promises. Her approach is rooted in identifying genuine consumer needs and building content around solutions that excite her personally, a philosophy she believes has been key to her steady growth despite starting without an established audience or subscriber base.

Beyond her business accomplishments, Rivera is known for the calm, deliberate mindset she brings to both her professional and personal life. She attributes much of her progress to patience and a refusal to give in to the fear of missing out, choosing instead to research thoroughly and rely on free resources before investing in new tools. In recognition of her entrepreneurial journey and community impact, Rivera was selected as an Influential Woman for 2026, representing her hometown of Hayward, Wisconsin.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Angelica

01What do you attribute your success to?

I credit my success to persistence through the two years it took to build my business, along with a genuine focus on solving the real problems consumers face. I make sure to pursue work that excites me, and I lean on AI tools to help me push through technical challenges I couldn't overcome on my own.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best advice I've received is not to let the fear of missing out drive my decisions. I've learned to slow down, resist the urge to buy every new course or piece of software, and look first for free resources that can teach me what I need to know.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I encourage anyone starting out to seek free educational resources, especially platforms like YouTube, before spending money on paid programs. It's important to be intentional with your learning and avoid investing in tools or courses that promise results but often become outdated quickly.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges I face is the steep technical learning curve, compounded by a marketplace full of AI and software offerings that are often unreliable or short-lived. At the same time, I see real opportunity in building a loyal email subscriber base and developing my own digital products, like e-books and bundles, that create lasting value for my audience.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Staying calm and avoiding frustration are central to how I operate, both professionally and personally. I try to remain patient through setbacks, steer clear of unnecessary conflict, and find genuine contentment in the work I do.
