Her Story

About Angie

Angie Pizzeck is a healing and meditation facilitator with 13 years of experience creating spaces for healing in the holistic wellness field. She holds space for people to heal and attributes her success to continually surrendering to obstacles and her spiritual practice. After being chronically ill with long COVID since March 2020, she pivoted from her earlier career as a professional singer who worked with dementia patients. Prior to the pandemic, she founded Uke and Yoga, a program integrating ukulele and yoga that grew to serve over 50 facilities and 80 units across Virginia and the Washington, D.C. area. She is an experienced trained yoga teacher with a degree in sociology and criminology. She is currently rebuilding her healing practice and has worked with over a couple hundred clients. Her values include integrity, authenticity, non-judgment, and unconditional love. She advises listening to your heart, not letting others steer you from what you know is right, and not being afraid to put yourself out there and try something new.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Angie

01What do you attribute your success to?

The success that I am experiencing is because I continually surrendered to the obstacles that were happening and re-evaluated what direction I was seeing myself going in. It's my spiritual practice.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Listen to your heart and don't let others persuade you in a way that steers you outside of what you know is right for yourself. Don't be afraid to put yourself out there and try something new.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Listen to your heart and don't let others persuade you in a way that steers you outside of what you know is right for yourself.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the challenges is for the people who are looking for the service to be able to trust the genuine gifts and the practice that the person is offering. I tend to not see challenges. I tend to look at it as opportunities to grow and pivot.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Integrity, for sure. I try to live from a place of authenticity, and when I interact with people I always come from a place of non-judgment and with a lens of unconditional love.
