Anita Bhandare

Anita Bhandare is an experienced corporate events and meetings professional with over 13 years in the event industry. She currently serves as a Corporate Meetings and Events Planner at Applied Materials on the global meetings and events team. In this role, she plans and executes any and all events for the company on a global scale from start to end, which includes sourcing, budgeting, vendor negotiations, vendor planning, attendee management, day of coordination, and post-event reporting. The team handles meetings with budgets over $25K as well as executive leadership team or CEO-related meetings, government visits, and customer visits. Anita is an engineer by qualification and began her professional journey as a software engineer at Accenture, where she worked for about four years before changing her career path to the event industry. She was born and raised in Pune, India, and completed her bachelor's degree in electronics and telecommunication there. While at Accenture, she discovered her passion for event planning through side activities such as customer visit planning, fun Fridays, and team buildings. She has been a part of NACE in Michigan and Arizona and volunteers with the Applied Materials community outreach group, often helping plan their events.
