About Anita
I've been working in my field since 2009, almost 15 years now. Currently I'm a Senior Business Systems Analyst where I gather requirements, work with developers and clients on system changes, handle unit testing, and manage projects through to delivery and go-live. I particularly enjoy implementations and integrations. Earlier I worked as an accounting systems and operations manager and led a successful implementation with an offshore team taking over accounts receivables processes. I hold a BA from NYU in economics and social sciences, a master's in managerial accounting, Six Sigma certification, and am working toward my CPA.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Always have the courage to speak up, to move forward and learn. If you're willing to continue to learn whatever may come your way with confidence, then you can truly conquer anything.
02What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Challenges include careful communication with stakeholders especially as a federal contractor to avoid scope creep. Opportunities exist with growing representation of women in what was once a male-dominated field, providing strong platforms for transformative work.
