Her Interview
Ten minutes with Anna
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to taking a hands-on, self-directed approach to my career. I have been willing to try different roles, learn broadly, ask questions, and step into opportunities that allowed me to gain new experiences. Supportive colleagues, mentors, and collaborative environments have also played an important role in helping me grow and develop professionally.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I have received is to start at an agency and learn as much as possible. I believe in getting my hands dirty, being willing to step into whatever role is needed, trying different responsibilities, and asking plenty of questions. Those experiences allow you to develop a broad perspective and ultimately help your career path unfold naturally.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I encourage young women to document their accomplishments consistently. I recommend keeping screenshots, recognition, positive feedback, and other examples of professional wins in an organized folder and setting aside time each week to capture them. Maintaining a record of your accomplishments can be incredibly valuable during promotion and compensation conversations, as well as when applying for future opportunities.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The social landscape and creator economy are evolving extremely quickly. New APIs, metrics, advertising formats, platforms, and changes in creator pricing continuously reshape the industry. I see that rapid evolution as both the greatest challenge and the greatest opportunity. Success requires staying informed, understanding emerging trends, adapting quickly, and thinking strategically about where the industry is headed next.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Being human is one of the most important values I bring to both my professional and personal life. I value working with smart, collaborative people who remember that everyone is a person first. I also value learning quickly, growing from experiences, maintaining a positive and energetic outlook, and having fun along the way.
