Her Story

About Anna

Anna Bishop is an experienced operations and hospitality professional currently serving in a dual leadership role with Flying Squirrel Sports, where she is part owner of one location and General Manager of another. In this capacity, she oversees two locations, guiding daily operations, supporting team development, and ensuring a consistently high standard of guest experience. She has been with the company for three years, while her tenure at the same trampoline park spans eight years, having remained through its evolution and name changes.

Her areas of expertise include employee relations and customer service, with a strong focus on building positive workplace culture and maintaining strong team engagement. Anna brings a leadership philosophy shaped by years of experience in restaurant management, where she held multiple operational roles over time. That background reinforced her belief that every position within an organization is essential, and that respect, communication, and accountability should extend equally across all levels of staff.

Prior to her current role in the entertainment industry, Anna spent several years managing restaurants, where she developed a strong foundation in operations, staffing, and customer service excellence. She now works closely with company owners Luke and Cody Shuler, supporting their vision of a people-first organization where employee input is valued and every team member has a voice. Her career reflects a consistent commitment to operational integrity, team respect, and delivering strong customer experiences.

Ten minutes with Anna

01What do you attribute your success to?

I guess I was raised in a time where, you know, you didn't call out sick, you didn't, you know, you went to work and you gave 100% every single day. You know, and it's always been that way. I ran restaurants for years, and every position was important. It didn't matter if you were a dishwasher or you were the general manager, everything was important, and everybody should be treated like they have the most important position. And so it's respect. My biggest thing is that you can't get respect if you don't give respect.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to be the person that everyone wants to work with. I’ve carried that mindset throughout my career, and it has shaped how I lead, communicate, and show up for my team each day. It reminds me that professionalism is not just about skills or results, but also about attitude, respect, reliability, and the way I treat others. By focusing on being collaborative, supportive, and solution-oriented, I aim to create a positive work environment where people feel valued and motivated to do their best.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

The best advice I would give to young women entering my industry is to be true to yourself and lead by example. Authenticity goes a long way in building trust and respect, and it allows you to develop a leadership style that is both genuine and sustainable. In a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, consistency in how you show up matters just as much as your skills. When you stay grounded in your values and demonstrate professionalism through your actions, you naturally earn credibility, inspire others, and create a positive impact on your team and workplace.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my field right now is finding and retaining good employees. It’s a different world compared to the past, and it requires a more intentional approach to recruiting, training, and supporting team members in order to build strong, reliable teams. At the same time, this shift creates an opportunity to strengthen workplace culture by being more engaged, supportive, and responsive to employee needs. Organizations that focus on respect, communication, and making employees feel valued and heard are the ones best positioned to succeed long term.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are honesty and dedication. I believe honesty builds trust, strengthens relationships, and creates a foundation for clear communication and accountability in any environment. Dedication is equally important because it reflects commitment, consistency, and pride in the work I do. Together, these values guide how I show up every day, how I lead my team, and how I strive to make a positive impact both professionally and personally.
