Her Story
About Anna
I've been in tech for about 6 years after transitioning from being a yoga teacher for 4 years, which I still do on weekends volunteering. COVID drove me into tech. I'm currently the Senior Lead of Offering Management at Kindrel, an IBM spin-off, where I focus on enablement, design, workshops, proposals, and helping colleagues improve their skills. Previously I worked in consulting on the client side and volunteered at innovation hubs. I have a philosophy degree and completed a UX/UI design bootcamp.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Anna
01What do you attribute your success to?
My tenacity and drive to achieve goals, building a strong network, and treating everyone with equal respect regardless of their position. I went from customer success roles to senior leadership by consistently pursuing what I want and being likeable and friendly.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Your network is your net worth, and treat the janitor the same way as you would the CEO. Every person deserves the same respect, and respecting everyone helps build important connections.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don't feel like you have to shrink yourself even if you're the only woman in the room. Be tenacious, consistent, and aim to be 1 or 2% better every day. Find empowerment within yourself and don't let male-dominated spaces limit you.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Respect for everyone regardless of their journey, consistency, discipline, and fitness. Knowing the difference between pain and discomfort helps growth, as seen in my transition during COVID.
