Anna Casper
Anna Casper is an undergraduate student at the University of Minnesota, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies with a minor in Management in Marketing, expected to graduate in 2026. She is actively involved in campus life, including participation in the University Campus Band and the Communication Students Association, demonstrating her commitment to both personal and professional development.
Anna has gained hands-on experience through a variety of roles in communications, marketing, and customer service. As a Communications Volunteer with MAVA – Minnesota Alliance for Volunteer Advancement, she contributed to reworking the organization’s website, developing brand direction, and creating comparative conference analyses to inform strategic decisions. During her internship with Boulder Juicery, Anna honed her skills in website building, graphic design, and brand development, creating product labels and descriptions while learning practical marketing and e-commerce techniques.
In addition to her communications and marketing work, Anna has experience in the food and beverage industry as a Cashier and Bartender at Surly Brewing Co., where she provides excellent customer service while managing multiple responsibilities, including food running, drink preparation, and register operations. Earlier in her academic career, she participated in research as a Research Collaborator for the UMN DFRACS Scholarship Experience, developing analytical and data interpretation skills that support her communication and marketing studies.

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I ever received is, "Don’t wait." It taught me the importance of taking initiative and seizing opportunities as they arise, rather than hesitating or waiting for the perfect moment.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
For young women entering the industry, my advice is to always be confident. Believing in your skills and abilities not only empowers you but also inspires others to trust and respect your work.

In both my personal and professional life, I value honesty and integrity. I strive to approach every interaction and decision with transparency and ethical consideration, ensuring that my actions align with my principles.
